A2. 'Join Us' is purely for make-up artists to join our website, whereas
'Advertise' is for make-up related companies to have small box adverts which are only placed on the directory search pages.
Q3. I don't have a website. Can I still join?
A3. Absolutely! We will supply you with a page where your very best images can be displayed along with all your business details.
Q4. How long does my subscription last?
A4. Your subscription runs for one year with the option to renew at the end of the term.
Q5. How do I renew my subscription?
A5. You will be contacted by email two weeks before the end of your subscription.
Q6. What does it cost to join 'The Best Make-up Artist'?
A6. We only offer the one elite package which costs £99.00 per annum. This gives you a listing in three counties of your choice to increase your business potential. If you wish to advertise in additional counties, these are priced at £10.00 each.
Q7. Are there any discounts?
A7. We give 5% discount if you link back to us on any page, however we offer a 10% discount from the total cost of your subscription if you link back to 'The Best Make-up Artist' on your home page.
Q8. I am a make-up artist but I also offer hair styling. Will this stop me from joining your site?
A8. No. We are aware that many make-up artists also offer other services to their clients so this will not preclude you.
Q9. Is it possible to change any details once my web page is up and running?
A9. Yes you can. You may change text and update new pictures and you are free to do this whenever you like. Just click on 'Make-up Artists login' .
Q10. Can I contact you at anytime?
A10. Yes, please do contact us with any queries you may have via 'Contact Us'.
Q11. Can I put in my business description that I also offer other services (i.e.: Wedding Hairstyling)?
A11. Yes, you can. It is what you feel best describes your business. We are very aware that many make-up artists also offer hairstyling and other services which they will want to promote.
Q12. How do I remove my business from 'The Best Make-up Artist'?
A12. Please let us know via the online contact form and we will make the necessary arrangements.
Q13. Will I get a refund if I remove my business before the end of the subscription period?
A13. Unfortunately we are unable to give a refund of any monies once payment has been made and the individual artist's page/advertisement has gone live.
Q14. I have chosen my three counties, but I would like to be listed in more. Is this possible?
A14. You can be listed in as many as you wish. These are priced at £10 each.
Q15. If I am eligible for the discount on the £99 package, will this cover the additional counties as well?
A15. The discount applies to the total cost of your subscription, so this does include any additional counties.
Q16. I had the 10% discount when I joined, but I have now decided I wish to be listed in additional counties. Will the discount apply to these new counties?
A16. Yes.
Q17. If I add some more counties after 6 months into my subscription, will these still cost £10 per county, or will it be half this price as there is only 6 months to run?
A17. The cost of the counties is £10 regardless of when they are added.
Q18. I have added your link to my home page and received my 10% discount. If I renew my subscription for the following year, will this discount still apply?
A18. Yes, as long as you keep our link to your home page.
Q19. What happens once I have completed the 'Join Now' form?
A19. You will be taken to a secure connection with Paypal to pay for your subscription. Once this is done, you will automatically come back to our website. We then automatically activate your account and you can then log in to enter or change your details to be displayed at 'The Best Make-up Artist'
Q20. I have forgotten my password. What do I do?
A20. Please don't worry. Simply go to the artist login area and select 'Forgot Password'. You can then enter your registered email address. A temporary password will immediately be sent to your inbox. Once you have retrieved it, you can then log in with the temporary password and then change it by clicking on 'Change Password' and submitting your new password.
Q21. Can I change my password?
A21. Yes, you can. Log in as usual, select 'Change Password' and enter your new password.
Q22. I am finding it difficult to complete the sign-up process. What shall I do?
A22. Simply fill out the online contact form explaining which part you are having difficulty with and we will reply as soon as possible.
Q23. Why is my user name the same as my email address?
A23.Because it makes things easier for everyone to have it this way.
Q24. I am struggling to upload my logo. I need help. What do I do?
A24. Simply fill out the online contact form explaining which part you are having difficulty with and we will reply as soon as possible.
Q25. Do I have to change/edit my details myself, or can I email you with the details of what needs to be done?
A25. No, this is something you must do yourself for security reasons.
Q26. When I have changed/edited my details, how long will it take before they go live on the site?
A26. We have to review all changes made before they go live. We will endeavour to do this in one working day. However, this may be longer depending on workload.
Q27. How do I add your link to my website?
A27. To link from your website back to The Best Make-up Artist simply follow the instructions given on our add-link page.
Q28. You give several choices of links. Which one do I choose?
A28. We offer variety so that you can decide which will best compliment your website. You only have to choose one - it is down to individual choice.
Q29. Can I get my money back if I change my mind after I have paid?
A29. If your site has not already gone live, there is a cooling off period of up to 7 days in which your money can be refunded. If however your site has gone live within the 7 day period, no monies will be refunded.
